23 Weeks
We had another ultrasound today. They had to finish the scans and everything looked good! And she's still a girl :) She now is 15 oz, doubling her weight in four weeks! I’m sure all the food I ate over Thanksgiving helped her a bit! She’s about 6 and a half inches long. She was very active today as usual. They showed us a 3D picture of her face, but she was so wiggly, it was kind of hard to see, but she is a cute little thing! I’ve uploaded a picture from today.

Baby B is dancing on my bladder...
Last night, I feel like I peed every 30 minutes. I was up and down all night so she MUST have wanted to torture me. Everybody says it's going to get worse so I may have to set up camp in the bathroom in a few months. Stay tuned....

We are half way there!!!
I'm now 20 weeks so we are half way through! WAHOO!! It seems like it's been a long time, but went by quickly at the same time. I've also been feeling her move around. I think I have been feeling her for a few weeks, but wasn't sure it was her. Sometimes it feels like a flutter and sometimes she taps me.
At 20 weeks, The fetus measures about 5.6 to 6.4 inches from crown to rump and weighs about 9 ounces. Baby can hear sounds by now. It will cover its ears with its hands if a loud sound is made near you, and it may even become startled and "jump." The baby is moving often, too -- twisting, turning, wiggling, punching and kicking. Her organs are getting into their proper places. Her kidneys are now in position with their familiar bean shape. Her ovaries have reached their position. Her brain continues to form and grow. Her teeth are beginning to appear, and she can swallow.

My baby bump is now a baby mountain!
Normally, my stomach gets bigger as the day goes on and then at night it goes back to normal. Over the GA/FL weekend, this pretty much stopped happening. Now, more people can tell I'm growing. Brian has nicknamed me "Chubbs" at this point and I definately can tell my pants are WAY tighter than normal. Here is a picture of me at 18 weeks!

Baby Bissell at 17 1/2 weeks!
We were lucky to be able to get an ultrasound a little before 18 weeks. My doctor said if we wanted to find out the gender, to ask at the appointment, and they may be able to tell. I had my hopes up that we would be able to find out since I need to know if I need to start buying pink or blue!!! Everyone has been telling me that it's a boy.
At first, the ultrasound girl wasn't sure but she "thought" it was a girl. When she walked out Brian said, "I wouldn't take that to the bank." After emptying my bladder, she was able to see a little better. This time she confirmed it is a GIRL!! There are three little blobs "down there" that mean it's a girl. Since then I've been told, a girl has characteristics on the ultrasound picture that look like a hamburger and a boy looks like a hot dog. I asked the doctor for a second opinion and she confirmed, it's really a girl!! We are so excited and it didn't matter to us which it was, but buying pink is always fun!
She was also moving around a lot (as usual) so they were not able to take measurements of everything. Normally, they do a scan at 20 weeks, but since we were going to a specialist anyway, they wanted to try and measure everything. We saw her little fingers and toes and just about everything else, except they couldn't see the three vessel umbilical cord either because the baby was too small or moving too much. We will go back in 4 weeks for them to finishing measuring everything. They said she was measuring perfectly for how old she is and she weighs a whole 7 oz. All in all, we are VERY happy she is healthy!
